I used to have a site on GeoCities dedicated the Blickensderfer family history, but it was lost when Yahoo shut down that site.  I had a scanned picture from a newspaper that showed Jacob and another engineer sitting on a cowcatcher at the front of a steam locomotive.  That was cropped from an antiquated, Xerox copied, scanned, article from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, dated Sunday, May 26, 1929.

These pages came from Sion Holley (1830-1909) Bible and have the birth dates of all of his children. The first three children died near Mount Enterprise in Rusk county, Texas. The Bible had some writing in it done by Sion's youngest daughter, Lula Holley (1893-1916). Her daughter had no other example of her mother's handwriting.
