From the patronym "Luurszen", Jacob Luurszen, b. 1616 d. 1655, should have a father named Luur, but that has yet to be proven. We do know he traveled from the Netherlands to New Amsterdam, married stjntje Douwes and had several children.
Luur Jacobsen, born before 1650, added van Kuykendall and married Grietje Artze Tack and lived in New York.
Cornelis Kuykendall, b. 1686, d. after 1752 married Maretje Westvall.
Leur Kiykendall, b. 1708, d. 1789, married Lena Consalus, daughter of Spanish immigrant Manuel Gonsalus and Rebecca Westvael.
Benjamin Kuykendall, christened in 1752, d. 1802, married Ann Jones, lived in New Jersey
Daniel Kuykendall, ca 1765 - ca 1856, married Elizabeth and moved to Ohio. Whether this Daniel and Benjamin's son Daniel are the same person is under research, as several questions remain.
Edward Kirkendall, b. 1809, d. 1869 married Melinda -- whose surname is either Fisher or Wilson.
Lucinda Ellen Cuykendall, b. 1867, died 1937, married David Levi Grove in 1875 in Swanton, Fulton, Ohio.
